Mujra Nights

An Evening of Intimate Bollywood Dance Performances
You may have watched a million mujras in Bollywood movies. Or you may have never even heard of one. Either way, Trikone Australia's premier stage show of 2020, Mujra Nights will be unlike anything you have ever seen.
A timeless Bollywood tradition is being rekindled in the cultural heart of Sydney, with dazzling costumes, seductive dance performances and ... a gender-bending twist. In this reimagining of traditional mujras, queer men and women are reclaiming the performance space as a statement of their freedom of expression and sexuality. Live music performances, comic skits and an atmospheric setting (Fusebox at Factory Theatre) are also part of the draw.
