ABOUT US

The South Asian gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community in Sydney (and Australia)

is a minority within a minority. And Trikone Australasia is here to help.

Founded in 2007, we are a community organisation for GLBTIQ South Asians living in Australia.

We offer a supportive, empowering and non-judgmental environment, where GLBT South Asians can meet,

make connections, bond together and proudly promote awareness and acceptance of their sexuality in society.

South Asians affiliated with Trikone Australasia trace their ethnicities to one of the following places:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, India, Maldives, Mauritius, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Tibet.

Trikone actively works against all forms of oppression based on race, gender, religion, class, sexual orientation and other identities. Through our website, cultural nights, film festivals, Bollywood dances parties and Mardi Gras celebrations,

Trikone Australasia works to nurture and empower the South Asian GLBT community in Sydney and Australia.
